Elmer Lyle

Elmer Lyle, Jr., 64, of Riegelsville, PA died November 14, 2012 in the Hospice House of VNA St. Luke's, Bethlehem. He was the husband of Kaaren A. (Hunt) Lyle having celebrated 15 years of marriage this past June 7. Born in Columbia, Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Elmer Lyle Sr. and Julia (Morrison) Lyle. Elmer was a lineman for many years in the communication industry, retiring as an Executive Director with Verizon Wireless. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps. during the Vietnam War. Elmer was a member of the American Legion Post 950 in Riegelsville, PA. He was an avid golfer, who loved playing in an annual tournament with great friends in Georgia. He also enjoyed riding his Goldwing Motorcycle which he recently converted into a trike. Elmer worked hard and played hard... He was always the "Life of the Party!" Most of all, Elmer loved his family, always enjoying a game of hearts with his sisters or shooting off rockets with his grandchildren. Surviving with his wife are sons; Sean R. Lyle, his wife Connie of York, PA, Michael S. Lyle of Philadelphia, David Sadosky, his wife Megan of Spring, TX, Greg Sadosky, his wife Lisa of McKinney, TX, Daughter; Andrea Fairchild, husband Ray of W. Hartford, CT, sisters; Kathy Yohe of Dover, PA, Patricia Potter, husband Charlie of York, PA, Georgianna Weigle, husband James of Brogue, PA, Ella Strickler, husband Bill of Dover, PA, 9 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandchild. Memorial Service will be held Saturday November 17, at 2:30 PM in the Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd. Quakertown, PA 18951.
