Elaine Wentz

Elaine L. Wentz, 91, of Sellersville, died Tues. June 23 in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. Elaine lived in the Quakertown area her whole life, attending Quakertown High School and was captain of a BuxMont championship girls field hockey team before graduating in 1942. She married Paul "Jim" Wentz and together they raised their three children on their dairy farm in Milford Twp. In 1980 the couple moved back to Quakertown, eventually spending winters in the Dominican Republic and summers in the Adirondacks. In 2009 they moved to Rockhill Mennonite Community, Sellersville, where Elaine made many new friends and rekindled old friendships from her high school years. She is survived by her children, Jeffrey, Quakertown, Marianne Roberts, husband Dr. Robert of Westpoint, Ontario and Jayne Taylor, husband George of Wilmington, NC; grandchildren Laura & Zachary Taylor, Colleen Chandler, Jenna Conroy; great-grandchildren Hannah & Seth Chandler, Elliott & Skylar Resnick. A memorial service will be held 10 am Thurs. July 2 at Rockhill Mennonite Community, Sellersville. Interment will be in Quakertown Union Cemetery.
