Edward C. Overly, 71, of Quakertown, died Fri., Nov. 12 in his home. He was the husband of Fay (Moyer) Overly. They were married 52 years in April. He worked for over 30 yrs. in the building & machine maintenance department of THA, formerly J. G. Furniture, Quakertown. Previously, he worked as a building superintendent at the former Quakertown office of Best Homes, Inc. Born in Milford Twp., Bucks co. he was a son of the late Charles L. & Marion S. (Merkel) Overly. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Spinnerstown, the Quakertown Lodge #512, F.&A.M., and the Friendship Forest #146, Tall Cedars of North America, Quakertown where he had served as Grand Tall, an Aide to the Supreme Tall Cedar, and a Trustee. Surviving with his wife, are son, Edward B., wife Linda and daughter Beth Fay, all of Quakertown, 2 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 am Wed. , Nov. 17 in the Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown. Interment St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Spinnerstown. Call at the funeral home Wed. 9:30 - 10:30 am. Masonic services 10:45 am.
