Edward William Mahler, age 78, died Sun. May 10, 2020, at his home in Richland Township. Born July 28, 1941, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late James August and Eleanor (McCloy) Mahler, and the husband of Bonnie Mae (Marczesky) Mahler, to whom he was married 57 years. A Central Bucks High School graduate, Edward served his country with distinction in the U.S. Army. Afterward, he would go on to own and operate Penn Jersey Auto Store in Doylestown for 27 years. After that, for 18 years, he was employed by Stericycle in Montgomeryville as a Medical Waste Driver. He was a member of American Legion Post 210, in Doylestown. Most of all, he enjoyed being with his family, who will dearly miss him. In addition to his wife, Edward is survived by: daughters Susan Landis (husband Greg), and Kristine Doyle (husband Brian); sons Kevin Mahler (wife Kris), and Michael Mahler; grandchildren Ric Landis, Renay Landis, Zachary Mahler, MacKenzie Mahler, and Sierra Doyle; step-grandchildren Tommy Michels, Corey Michels, and Stephanie Michels; and sister Blanche Geist (husband Charlie). In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by: brothers Robert and James Mahler. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, services and interment will be private, with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date. Details to come.
