Edward W. Brous, 80, of Quakertown, and previously of Fallsington, passed away peacefully at his home on March 3, 2025. He was born in Philadelphia on November 14, 1944 to the late Charles and Alvara (Alexander) Brous. Edward met his loving wife of 58 years, Barbara (Metzler) Brous in High School. Early in their relationship he would enlist in the U.S. Marine Corp, and he served from 1963-1967, and was one of the first boots on the ground in Vietnam. During the end of his service, Edward and Barbara married, and they would soon raise their family together. After his time in the service he drove a tank truck for most of his working life. Edward loved baseball, was a lifetime Phillies fan, and was a coach for his sons baseball teams. He was also a Scout Master for their Boy Scout Troop. Edward was an avid fisherman and would regularly take the family on fishing trips. In his later years, he'd become fond of golf and would regularly hit the course. He also took an interest in model trains and built a wonderful set for his home. Edward volunteered many happy hours with the VFW contributing to all the good work they do for veterans and their families.
Edward is survived by his wife Barbara; sons Dave (Shannon) Brous and Steve (Wendy) Brous; grandchildren Kevin, Ashley, Logan, and Stephan; siblings Charles and Alvara; and many other loving family and friends.
