Edna Detweiler Geissinger, 92 graduated to heaven from this world Fri., July 3 at home. She was the wife of Isaac Clemmer Geissinger who passed away Feb. 10, 2000. They were married March 23, 1946. She was born in Franconia, PA, the daughter of the late Jonas & Hannah (Detweiler) Landes. After the death of her mother, Hannah, she was raised by her father and stepmother, Edna (Halteman) Landes. She was preceded in death by a sister, Verna Hunsberger and is survived by a brother, Curtis Landes and a sister, Mary Leatherman. Edna is survived by her nine children, C. Robert, wife Carolyn, Larry, wife Libby, Shirley , D. Ray, wife Linda, Jay, wife Pat, Arlene Yothers, husband Dave, Carl, wife Sherri, Earl, wife Wendy, and Linda Seidel, husband Dan; 32 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren. Edna was an active member of Swamp Mennonite Church where she served in various ways including helping with Vacation Bible School, the children's Sunday school program, and the sewing circle. Edna's children know her as a prayer warrior and are grateful for the spiritual battles she fought in prayer on their behalf. Family and friends are invited to call at Swamp Mennonite Church, 2125 Rosedale Rd., Quakertown, Wed. 10:30 AM to Noon with the service to follow. Interment church cemetery.
