Edith Blanche (Hottle) Cunningham, age 104, died Friday, January 31, 2020, at Belle Haven Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. Born May 21, 1915 in Passer, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clinton J. and Flora Elizabeth (Furry) Hottle, and the widow of the late Wilbur Cunningham. Edith lived a long and blessed life. She was an active member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Pleasant Valley, having been a member of the church's Women's Missionary Society (now Women of ELCA), a Sunday school teacher, and member of Stitches of Love. She was employed at the former Tohickon Hosiery Mill, continuing on to be a Production Examiner for the former Imrod Clothing Manufacturing Co., from which she retired in 1975. In her retirement, Edith and her husband Wilbur enjoyed taking their grandchildren fishing and camping. Edith cared for generations of family members, and could always be counted on for a good game of Skip-Bo followed by candies and sweets. Edith is survived by daughters Nancy Scheerbaum (Gus), Sandra Rehrig (James, deceased), and Carol Kirschman (Bruce Kulp); as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2170 Route 212, Coopersburg, PA 18036. Services will start at 11:00 AM, followed by interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Coopersburg, PA.
