E. Krauss

E. Clifford Krauss, 79, of Punta Gorda, FL, previously of Quakertown died Sunday, Feb. 7th in Tidewell Hospice House, FL. He was the husband of Shirley (Stump) Krauss for 40 years last June and the late Fae June (Rantz) Krauss. Born in Quakertown, he was the son of the late Elmer C. and Tillie M. (Walt) Krauss. He graduated from Quakertown Community High School in 1948. Before retiring, he was the tax collector for Quakertown Borough from 1965-1998. He was a member of Quakertown Fire Co. #1 having served as former Trustee, Captain and former Chairman of the Quakertown Fire Co. #1 Ambulance Corp and former Treasurer of Quakertown Fire Dept. & Relief Assoc. He was a life member of Bucks County Fireman's Assoc. He was a member and served as former church Council member and church Treasurer at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Quakertown; Quakertown Loyal Order of Moose; Bucks County Tax Collectors Assoc. and former Treasurer of PA Tax Collectors Assoc. Surviving with wife: son, Mark C. and wife Nancy of Pine Grove, PA; daughter, Jan M. Contino and husband Vincent of Norristown; grandson, Kevin. Memorial service will be held 11:00 am Sat., April 17th at Trinity Lutheran Church, 102 N. Hellertown Ave., Quakertown. The Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral Home, 20 N.
