Douglas Shaffer

Douglas R. Shaffer, 79, of Quakertown passed away August 1, 2021, at home.  He was the husband of Barbara (Gottshall) Shaffer.  They were married 58 years in March.  He enjoyed fishing, family trips, hunting.  Born in Quakertown, he was the son of the late Lester and Emily (Landis) Shaffer.  He was a graduate of Quakertown High School, class of 1960.  After graduation, he worked many years as a tradesman throughout the area.

In addition to his wife, Douglas is survived by daughter, Monica Scheetz, son, Scott Shaffer, grandchildren Kiamesha (Drew), Brianna, Megan, Mason, Molly, Miles, and Maya, great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Madeline, Mia, Maci, Dilynn, and Benjamin, sister, Phyllis Auckland.   He was predeceased by daughter, Deborah Kulp.

Services will be held Saturday, August 7, at 2:00 at East Swamp Mennonite Church,  2405 E Swamp Rd, Quakertown, PA 18951.  Friends may call from 1-2 prior to the service.
