Dorothy J. Dietz, 94 of Quakertown died Sat. Jan 8 at Independence Court, Quakertown. Born in Richland Township, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Emma (Rotenberger) Dietz. She graduated from Quakertown High School in 1932 and was employed as an office worker for a Quakertown hosiery mill. Later, she was employed by the Friendly Book Store, Quakertown until moving to Omaha, NE to become manager of the Book store at Grace Bible Institute. After serving 23 years there, she returned to Quakertown and the Friendly Book Store until retiring in 2008. She was a member of East Swamp Mennonite Church, Quakertown where she was very active in missions' ministry. She taught Sunday school and for years typed the Sunday morning messages to hand out to the hearing impaired. Surviving are her brothers, Howard of Quakertown, Clayton of Souderton; sisters, Bertha Sloyer, Poughkeepsie, NY, Arlene Wiebe, Elbing, Kansas, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Sadie & Blanche, brothers Wilmer & Stewart. Services 11 AM Fri. Jan 14 in East Swamp Church. Call Thurs. evening 6:30 - 8:00 pm at the Jeffrey A.
