Donald W. Berger Jr., 66, of Quakertown, passed away on March 7 in his home surrounded by family after a gallant battle with cancer. He was the husband of Deborah Gleockler. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary last August. Born in Sellersville, he was a son of the late Donald W. and Louise (Barr) Berger. He graduated from Pennridge High School in 1960 and served with the U.S. Army National Guard. He owned and operated Springbank Farm Nurseries, Quakertown since the age of 24. A steward of the land he was instrumental in preserving the family homestead and other family owned acreage as open space. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church-Ridge Valley. Surviving with his wife, sons, Forrest S. and wife Heather of Sellersville; Dillon; Tyee; daughters, Debon Berger, Haley Berger all of Quakertown; step-son, William Storms and wife Kim of East Greenville; step granddaughter, Morgan; sister, Sandra Bahls of Holland. Service: 10:00 am Friday, March 12 in the Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral Home, 20 N. Ambler St., Quakertown. Call at the funeral home 7:00 - 9:00 PM Thursday, March 11.
