Minnie Calabrette, 98, widow of Joseph R. Calabrette of Quakertown passed away in Medical Center of Plano Hospital, Plano, Texas on Friday August 24, 2014. She was born in Atlas, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Odorisio and Emilia DiFrancesco. She worked as a seamstress for many years in various clothing factories in the Quakertown area until retiring in 1976. Minnie was a long time member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Quakertown. She was a member of St. Isidore's Roman Catholic Church, Quakertown for nearly 70 years until moving to Texas in January 2011. Minnie is survived by her son, Joseph Calabrette and wife Susanne of Hickory Creek, Texas; daughter, Sandra Calabrette of Plano, Texas; sisters, Concetta (Jenny) Rossi and husband Anthony of Quakertown, Edith (Dee) Zukowski of Waterloo, NY; brother, Carmen DiFrancesco of Coopersburg; granddaughters Melissa Clark, Christine Mouser and Jessica Shiver, all of Texas; and great-grandchildren Nicklas, Dylan, Madison and Blake. A visitation and prayer service will be held on Saturday September 1st at 11:00AM at the Allen Family Funeral Home 2120 W. Spring Creek Parkway. Plano, Texas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM Friday September 14th at St. Isidore's Roman Catholic Church 2545 West Pumping Station Road, Quakertown. Interment will be immediately following at St. Isidore's Catholic Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association Greater Dallas Chapter, 4144 North Central Expressway, Suite 750, Dallas, Texas 75204. Arrangements in Quakertown are being coordinated by Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Road.
