Dominic M. Gasbarro, 93, of Quakertown, formerly Niagara Falls, NY, passed away Sat., Feb. 14 in St. Luke's Hospice House. He was the husband of the late Rose L. (Magliazzo) Gasbarro. Born in Derry, PA he was a son of the late Emidio & Cristina (Mastrorocco) Gasbarro. Following graduation from Derry H.S., Class of '39, Dominic moved to Niagara Falls and was employed by Moore business Forms. In 1966, he transferred to their new plant in Quakertown. He retired from Moore after over 45 years of service in 1987. Dominic served his country with distinction in the US Navy during WWII on the USS Ellyson, seeing action in numerous battles & theatres of the war, including the invasions of Normandy, Southern France, and Iwo Jima. He enjoyed gardening and was happy to share his abundant harvest with others. He loved Italian food and was especially fond of spaghetti and tomato sauce served with a glass of wine. Dominic was an avid Phillies & Eagles fan. Surviving are his children Christine Kemeter (Daniel) of Bethlehem, Pa, Thomas (Jill) of Brooklyn, NY, & Robert (Michelle) of Charlotte, NC; grandsons Jeffrey Kemeter (Holly) of Columbus, OH, David Kemeter (Francesca) of Bel Air, MD, Michael Kemeter (Sarah) of Downingtown, PA, & Matthew Gasbarro of Houston, TX; great-grandchildren Jackson & Emilia Kemeter of Downingtown and Ryan & Jason Kemeter of Bel Air; numerous nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by siblings Amelia Minni, Mary DiFrancesco, Sue DiCamillo, Velma DiMarco, Leanora Palumbo, Elizabeth Cosentino, Theodora Gasbarro, Ida Soda, Adam & Ernest Gasbarro. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tues., Feb. 17 in St. Isidore Catholic Church, 2545 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown. Family and friends are invited to call at the Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown, Mon., Feb. 16, 6-8 pm or Tues., 9 - 10 am. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to St. Isidore's Food Pantry, St. Jude's Hospital for Children, or the Wounded Warrior Project.
