Denise Gaeta Bencel, 60, of Quakertown, PA, died Wednesday, August 29. She is survived by her husband, Joseph; her daughters, Caitlin of Chicago, IL, and Kelly Sweeney (Christopher) of Perkasie, PA; her sons, Andrew and Ethan, both of Quakertown, PA; her adored dog, Maddie; and her precious granddoggies, Abbey and Leia. Denise was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Chelsey; her father, Frank Gaeta; and her beloved dogs, Chloe and Piper. Denise grew up in Byram, NJ. She graduated from Lenape Valley High School in Stanhope, NJ and attended the County College of Morris. During her career, Denise worked as an EKG technician at Dover General Hospital, where she met Joseph. She also worked for Penn State University and North Penn Family Medicine. Before retiring, Denise worked as a Certified Medical Office Manager for Dr. William Gusa. Denise absolutely cherished her family and friends and was happiest when she was surrounded by them at gatherings. She loved planning parties and giving gifts to everyone, so naturally, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were her favorite holidays. Denise enjoyed doing crafts, going for car rides to explore back roads, and visiting Lancaster with her brother, Vinny. She also volunteered on several executive boards over her lifetime, including the Mothers of Multiples Club, Tohickon Valley Elementary PTA, and PAHCOM. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and was a part of the Altar Guild. In addition to her husband and children, Denise is survived by her mother, Maureen Gaeta of Dover, NJ; her siblings, Stephanie Marks (Daniel) of Dover, NJ; Francis Gaeta (Sheila) of Bushkill, PA; Vincent Gaeta of Columbia, NJ; Michele Fish (Thomas) of Pottstown, PA; and Stephanie Kenny of Canvey Island, England; and her many cousins, nieces, nephews, and in-laws. She is also survived by her dearest friends, Cindy and Michael Wolf of Telford, PA. Visitation hours will be on Tuesday, September 4 from 6-9pm and Wednesday, September 5 from 8-10am at Naugle Funeral Home, 135 W Pumping Station Rd, Quakertown, PA, 18951. Services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 2966 Old Bethlehem Pike, Zionhill, PA, 18981 on September 5 beginning at 11am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Temple Bone Marrow Program, 7604 Central Ave, Philadelphia, PA, 19111 or to Zion Lutheran Church.
