Dawn Schettig

Dawn E. Schettig, 85, formerly of Perkasie, died Fri. June 23rd at LifeQuest Nursing Center, Quakertown. She was the wife of the late William P. Schettig. Born in Quakertown, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Marjorie (Weitzel) Driller. She loved God first and foremost and loved her family. In years past she loved going to the senior center, taking trips, and reading her bible. She was also an avid reader. Once she became a resident of LifeQuest, she was a regular bingo player. The family would like to thank the staff at LifeQuest, especially the DEF wing, and Caring Hospice for their excellent care. Surviving are her sons, Robert Oakley of Ayers, MA, George Oakley, fiancé Anne Reinhol of Reading, Scott Oakley, wife Brenda of Quakertown, and Brian Oakley, wife Sara of St. Petersburg, FL; daughters, Lenore Grida, husband John of Richlandtown, Theresa Hartman (Eddie), Bonnie Petitt (Ricky), and Leanne Christman (Lou); son in law, Tim Christman; 23 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren with 2 on the way; sister, Brenda McCardle, husband Lynn. Services will be held 11:00 AM Wed. June 28th at Naugle Funeral and Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown. A viewing will precede the service from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, Ambler.
