Dale S. Hendricks, 78, of Emmaus, died Thursday in Phoebe-Allentown. He was the husband of Shirley J. (Hawbaker) for the past 26 years and the late Nancy (Moyer) Hendricks. He owned and operated Dale Enterprises, Emmaus, a stamp collection & trading business for over 35 years. He was an insurance agent as well. Previously, he was a plant supervisor for Mack Truck, Allentown for 15 years. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Jacob E. and Mabel M. (Somers) Hendricks. He was a member of the Emmaus Moravian Church, the Saucon Lodge F. & A.M., Rajah Temple, and the American Philatelic Society. He was a past president of the Emmaus Jaycees, a former Director of the American Stamp Dealers Assoc. He played trumpet with the Marine Band of Allentown. He served with the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Surviving with his wife, daughters, Kathy Haas, Doylestown & Linda Zimpfer, husband Keith, Bally; grandchildren Jennifer & Kelsey Haas, Katie Finan, husband Joseph, Jason Zimpfer, wife Kelly, Carolyn & Caleb Zimpfer; great-grandson, Caiden Zimpfer. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Tues. Feb. 9, in the Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral Home, 20 N. Ambler ST., Quakertown. Interment Quakertown Union Cemetery.
