Craig Alan Hillegass, 61, of Quakertown, PA passed away on Friday, August 27 at Moravian Village Nursing Home, Bethlehem, PA after a lengthy illness. Born on May 21, 1949 in West Rockhill Township, Bucks County, PA, he was the son of E. Schaeffer Hillegass and D. Faye (nee-Clymer), and after Schaeffer's death, Jean-Pierre Baer. Mr. Hillegass was a graduate of Pennsbury High School and George Washington University, Washington, D.C., with a major in asian studies and economics. Craig was recently employed as a surety manager by the New York City District Council of Carpenters Benefit Funds. He was previously employed by Raxon Fabrics Corporation of Allentown, PA. for 19 years, the Plumsteadville Inn, and the Mountainside Inn, Point Pleasant, PA, and a family-owned restaurant. As a G.W. student, Mr. Hillegass played a role in Watergate during the Nixon Administration, and was featured in the book, "All the President's Men." He maintained life-long ties with college friends, was an active member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He belonged to several political organizations and supported various charities. Mr. Hillegass is survived by a sister, Lee A. Baer of Kintnersville, PA. Memorial services will be private. Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W.
