Clarence Detweiler Meyers passed away on the morning of Feb. 29, 2012 in New Holland, Pa. He was born on Oct. 2, 1922 in Bedminster Twp., Pa. Clarence was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Martha, parents Joseph & Annie Meyers, sister Naomi Anders and brothers Elmer & Harvey Meyers. The marriage of Clarence & Martha took place in Doylestown, Pa on Oct. 24, 1944. Their family included three sons: Richard (married to Linda Dee), Ed (married to Linda Kae) and Tom. There are seven grandchildren & three grandchildren: Ryan, Trevor, Carrie, Rachael, Anicka, Jessica, Katie, Maggie, Greta, and August. Clarence quietly enjoyed the simple pleasures of life including wandering the bucolic countryside of eastern PA, shuffleboard in Sarasota, FL, playing cards with friends, Phillies baseball and sitting and observing his family in conversation around a family dinner table. Martha and Clarence founded Eagles Peak Spring Water business in Fountainville, PA and were delighted to see their son Ed take over the business upon their retirement. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sat. Mar. 10 in Doylestown Mennonite Church, 590 N. Broad St., Doylestown. Family & friends are invited to call at the church Sat. 12:30 - 1:30 PM.
