Claire A. Wagner

December 15, 1946 — May 17, 2024

Quakertown

Claire A. Wagner, 77, of Quakertown, Pennsylvania, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital in Quakertown. She was proceeded in death by her late husband James R. Wagner, whom she adored and had been married to for 50 years.

Born in Philadelphia in 1946, she was the daughter of the late George T. Phillips and Sarah R. "Sally" (Shields) Phillips. She was a 1964 graduate of West Catholic High School for Girls in Philadelphia.

A long-time resident of Warminster, Claire enjoyed many years as a parishioner at Nativity of Our Lord Parish. She was a member of the Nativity Choir where she formed amazing friendships, she was involved in the meals on wheels program, volunteered at the carnival and often delivered meals to those in need at the holidays.

Later in life she and her late husband moved to Quakertown where she enjoyed being the best Me-Mom, not only to her own grandchildren, but to any other child who needed one. She made many friends in her RMC community. During her 18 years there she enjoyed many activities and events, while at the same time becoming the best care giver any one could be to Jim. More recently as she slowed down, game night, knitters club and the Friday night gathering were a few of her favorite things to attend. The love and support of special friends, who helped get her to these things, meant the world to her.

She was a current member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church in Quakertown. She regularly attended both the Sunday and the Friday evening mass. Her faith brought her great comfort and she appreciated the support and encouragement of the priests and a wonderful Deacon with whom she and her late husband had formed a special friendship.

Claire will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Christine and her husband Scott Cole of Quakertown; her son James Wagner and his wife Robin (Hinkel) of Buckingham Township; as well as by five grandchildren, Hannah, Luke, Lindsay, Casey, and Connor and her great grandson RJ. She is also survived by her sisters, Regina Phillips, Rosemary Duden, and Joan Koch.

All are invited on Wednesday, May 29 to St. Isidore Catholic Church, 2545 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown, PA 18951 to a visitation from 10-10:55am, and a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am.
