Charles “Charlie” S. Grieger, 75, of Ottsville, PA, passed away on February 13th, 2025, at St. Luke’s Bethlehem Hospital. Born in Doylestown, PA, on August 17th, 1949, Charlie was the son of the late Carl Grieger and the late Josephine (Przyuski) Grieger.
Charlie attended Palisades High School and graduated in 1967. He began working at Acme Markets in Doylestown, PA when he was 17 and remained there until he retired at 62.
His passion for life extended well beyond his professional endeavors, in his free time, Charlie enjoyed golfing, fishing from his boat, playing poker and watching the Phillies but most of all he enjoyed being with his family. For the last five years, it brought him great happiness running Uncle Charlie’s Pumpkin Patch in Ottsville, where he sold pumpkins from his front yard.
He was a member of Springtown Rod and Gun Club, Knights of Columbus, Father Stommel Council 4545. He enjoyed coaching Revere Little League Baseball for many years. Above all else, Charlie loved his family deeply and cherished the time spent with them.
Charlie will be dearly missed by his wife, Joy (Neubert) Grieger, together they shared 53 loving years of marriage; his children, Daniel Grieger of Ottsville, Jason (Jeanne) Grieger of Allentown, and Steve Grieger (Alexandra Dashkiwsky) of Doylestown; his grandson, Nathan Grieger; his brother, Ed Grieger and his wife Sylvia; his nephew Jeffrey and his family, Elisa, Jordan, Julian. He has a special place in his heart for his canine companion, Sadie, along with his extended family members and friends.
Per the family, there will be no funeral or memorial service held.
Donation can be made in Charlie’s name to St. John the Baptist Church in Ottsville, PA.
