Chapman C. Johnson, Jr, 77, of Quakertown, died Mon., Jan. 15 at St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital. He was the loving husband of Marion Marie (Pidgeon) Johnson. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Chapman C. Johnson, Sr. and Adelaide Lavinia (Blackson) Johnson. Chapman graduated Quakertown High School in 1958, where he was a member of the track and cross country team. He was an independent operator, Chapman C. Johnson & Sons, in the trucking industry for Samuel Grossi. Surviving with Marion are his children: Chapman "Chip" III, wife Lisa Ann of Coopersburg; Denise Johnson of Jamaica Queens, NY; brothers: David of Quakertown; Richard Jones of Philadelphia; Sisters: Carole Eddings of Quakertown, Cecelia "Peggy" Casey; Donna Watson of Philadelphia; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; god daughter: Johari Miller of Quakertown and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Service will be held at 7:30 PM Fri., Jan. 19 in Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown, with a visitation beginning at 6:30 PM.
