Catherine Yeakel

Catherine R. Yeakel, 67, of Quakertown, died Sun. Dec. 31 in St. Luke's University Hospital, Bethlehem. She was the wife of Dean R. Yeakel. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of Richard & Celia (Bender) Reed. She was a 1968 graduate of Pennridge High School and worked in banking a number of years, retiring from Quakertown National Bank. A master quilter, she was a past president of Keystone Quilters. Surviving with her husband are sons Derek, wife Janelle of Quakertown and David, wife Kelli of Susquehanna; grandchildren Larissa, Rubi, & Luci; siblings Carol Cope, Paul Effrig, Susan Russell, Allison Russell, Cindy Leach, and Mickie. She was predeceased by a son Darin and sister Deborah Long. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
