Catherine Barna

Catherine M. Barna, 67, of Quakertown, died Sun, Dec. 4, 2011 in her home. She was the wife of Peter J. Barna Jr. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Coleman) Dougherty. She was an administrative assistant for Merck & Co. for 22 years before retiring this year. Surviving with her husband, sons, Eric, wife Julie of Ebans, GA; Scott, wife Amanda of Sellersville; grandchildren, Ruby Rose and Cole Patrick; brother, Thomas, wife Carol of Philadelphia; sisters, Maureen Newman, husband Warren of Pennsburg; Carol McClain, husband William of Royersford; Jean Doyle, husband Daniel of Norwood; nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews. She was predeceased by son, Kevin and sister, Elaine Dougherty. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11:30 am Wed., Dec. 7 at St. Isidore's Catholic Church, Quakertown.
