Carolyn Ellingson

Carolyn C. Ellingson, 80, of Coopersburg went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family on Wed. July 27th at her home. She was the wife of Bruce Ellingson for 58 years. Born in Abington, she was a daughter of the late Byron and Verletta (Hottel) Cassel. For many years, she was a teacher of students who were gifted and talented. Her teaching career began in Wheaton, IL, then in Lebanon, PA and also the East Penn School District. She was a Pastor's wife in the Bible Fellowship Churches in Finnesville, NJ and in Lebanon. She was also a faithful Sunday school teacher. She was a member of Calvary Bible Fellowship Church in Coopersburg. Surviving with her husband are her daughters, Sharon Larkin, husband James of Chicago, IL, Ruth Anne Ellingson-Ng, husband Andrew of Laurel, MD, and Sarah Peterman, husband Timothy of Philadelphia; twelve grandchildren; brother, Carl Cassel, wife Charlene of Whitehall. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Sat. July 30th at Calvary Bible Fellowship Church, 6782 N. Main St., Coopersburg. Family and friends may call from 7-9 PM Fri. July 29th at the church and from 10-11 AM on Sat. prior to the service. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Coopersburg. Memorial contributions can be made to the church. www.janauglefcs.com
