Caroline A. Funk, 88, of Spring City, formerly of Quakertown, died Sat. Nov. 14 in Phoenixville Hospital. She was the wife of the late John J. C. Funk. She worked as a hand presser for the former Quakertown Manufacturing Co. for over 15 years before retiring. Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Uriah F. and Caroline (Schick) Ritter. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Quakertown, where she sang of the choir for 40 years, served as a Sunday School teacher, played piano for Sunday School, Easter & Christmas programs, the Auxiliary to American Legion Post 242, Quakertown where she had served as Vice-President, Auxiliary of Forrest Lodge VFW, Upper Bucks Sr. Citizens, and a former member of the Nase-Kraft American Legion Auxiliary, Sellersville where she was a past President. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Tues. Nov. 17 in the Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral Home, 20 N. Ambler St., Quakertown (www,janauglefcs.com). Interment Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Pleasant Valley.
