Bonnie S. Rapkin, of East Rockhill Township, died unexpectedly on March 14, 2021. She was 78. A clinical social worker and psychotherapist, she was born in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, and raised in Susquehanna, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Andrew Stark and Frances Colwell Stark. She was a graduate of Susquehanna High School and received a Bachelors degree from Pennsylvania State University and a Masters in Social Work from the University of Connecticut. A member of many boards of clinical social work, she was in private practice in Connecticut and later in Pennsylvania. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Robert M. Rapkin, MD, a daughter, Meredith Colwell Rapkin (Neil Toensmeier) of Philadelphia, a grandson, Isaac Toensmeier, of Philadelphia, a stepson, Jonathan Rapkin (Elaine) of St. Louis, Mo., as well as a sister, Audrey Sullivan, of Susquehanna, PA, a brother, Terry Stark, of Susquehanna, PA, and a brother James Stark (Naruko) of Concord, California. Bonnie wanted no memorial service of any kind. Her instructions were very clear: "throw me in the river." She loved flowers but thought they were wasted on the dead. So in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Community at Rockhill, 3250 State Road, Sellersville, PA 18960. www.nauglefcs.com.
