Betty "Mitzi" Ann Foulke

Betty “Mitzi” Foulke, 66, of Quakertown, PA, passed away on December 8th, 2023, at University of Pennsylvania Hospital. Born in Quakertown, she was the daughter of the late Adam Birli and the late Helen (Taylor) Birli. 

Mitzi graduated from Quakertown High School in 1975 as a business major where she enjoyed majorettes and being president of the chess club. Most notably in high school Mitzi met and started her 51-year relationship with her dear husband, Dean.  She then continued her education at Bucks County Community College and DeSales University. She worked at Sears Surplus for over 20 years, starting in high school. She then moved on to various accounting jobs eventually landing in IT doing computer programming at Scott Specialty Gases.  She then moved on to Icon Clinical Research working her way to  the Global Director of Telecommunications.  All throughout her career she made lasting friendships at every company and was a mentor to many.  In her free time, Mitzi enjoyed cheering for the Eagles, and travel.  She treasured her many close relationships with friends and family, specifically her best friend and sister Janice.  Above all, her greatest pleasure in life was her children and grandchildren. 

Everyone who knew Mitzi felt the kindness of her heart and caring nature.  Her ever present smile and contagious laugh will be missed by many.  She lived her life in the service of others.  Whether it was volunteering at her children’s Sunday School, grandkids school PTO, field trips or class parties she was always there to help.  She devoted most of her time in retirement caring for and spending time with her grandkids.  From special trips, virtual school, cheer and football games, and special activities with each child, Mimi was always there for her grandkids.

Mitzi will be dearly missed by her husband, Ralph “Dean” Foulke Jr., together they shared 47 years of marriage; her daughter, Jennifer Klady (Tim); her son, Ryan Foulke; her grandchildren, Dean, Alexandria, Vivian; sister, Janice Airey; brothers, Kenny and James Birli; sister, Judy; many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mitzi was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jason; brothers, Bill, John, Jeff, Joe, Jack; and nephews, Jeremee and Jef.

All are invited to a viewing on Monday, December 18th, from 6:00PM ~ 8:00PM, located at Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Road, Quakertown, PA, 18951. (215-536-3343) On Tuesday, December 19th, all are invited to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 102 N. Hellertown Ave, Quakertown, PA, 18951, for a viewing held from 9:00AM ~ 10:00AM, followed by a service beginning at 10:00AM. A graveside service will be held at Quakertown Union Cemetery.
