Barbara A. Brown May 31, 1960 - April 20, 2011 Barbara A. Brown, of Perkasie, died suddenly on April 20, 2011. Barbara was the loving wife of Charles B. Brown III, and loving and devoted mother of Rebecca E. Brown and Roxanne E. Brown. She was the beloved daughter of Phyllis and Earl Kessler, and daughter-in-law of Charles B. Brown Jr. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Eugenia B. Brown. She was a loving sister to Susan E. Kessler, Patricia L. Dameron (William R. Dameron) and Richard B. Kessler (Denise R. Kessler), and sister-in-law to Cynthia B. Murphy (Kevin P. Murphy), Catherine B. Campbell (Robert G. Campbell) and Debra B. Smith (Andrew Smith). She was a devoted aunt to Emily Agostino (Michael Agostino), Amelia Nolan (Brian Nolan), Blair Dameron (Courtney Dameron), Patrick Dameron, Michael Kessler, Elizabeth Kessler, Gregory Murphy, Brendan Murphy, Karen Murphy, Robert Campbell, Brian Campbell, Ian Smith, Heather Smith, Gavin Smith, and Amber Smith. Barbara was a 1978 graduate of William Tennent High School. She began her career at American Traveler's before becoming a part of Ascensus where she spent the last 27 years. Barbara ascended to the position of Vice President of Small Market Operations. Throughout her career, she consistently embodied the core values of the company: "People Matter. Quality First. Integrity Always.". Barbara was a colleague, mentor, role model, cheerleader, "go-to" person, and a friend to all of those in the Ascensus Family. Barbara treasured life. She enjoyed attending her daughter Roxanne's lacrosse games and supporting the teams at Pennridge High School and Shippensburg University. During her daughter Rebecca's four years at Penn State University, Barbara enjoyed taking trips to State College, especially to tailgate during football season. Barbara loved the beach. Many of her vacations were spent by the ocean in Ocean City, NJ and the Caribbean. A memorial service will be held in Barbara's honor on Saturday April 30, 2011 at J.A. Naugle Funeral Home in Quakertown (www.janauglefcs.com, 135 W. Pumping Station Road, Quakertown, PA 18951). Family, friends, and co-workers are invited to pay their respects from 9:00 - 11:00 AM, and a service for Barbara will be held at approximately 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Barbara's name to THON, an organization that Barbara cared deeply about.
