Arlene Refsnider

E. Arlene Refsnider passed away on August 8, 2024. She was 99 years old.

She was born in Richlandtown, PA, where she lived the first 89 years of her life. Arlene was predeceased by R. Leon, her beloved husband of 65 years. She was the daughter of the late Aden F. and Lillie M. Heavener.

Arlene worked at Associated Rubber, Inc., in Quakertown for many years. She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Richlandtown, and was a frequent volunteer for the Church. Arlene also did a great deal of volunteer work for the Richlandtown Fire Department over several decades. After moving from her Richlandtown home she resided at Independence Court in Quakertown for 10 years.

She is survived by her son, Ronald, and his wife, Maureen, of Minnesota; two grandchildren, Jeanine Refsnider-Streby (and her husband Henry Streby) of Ohio, and Kurt of Arizona; granddaughter Sora Streby of Ohio; and nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by sister Lynette, brother Paul, and several sisters- and brothers-in-law. 

All are invited to visit with Arlene's family on Wednesday, August 14th, 2024. A viewing will be held from 9:00AM ~ 10:00AM, located at St. John's Lutheran Church Richlandtown, 4 S. Main Street, Richlandtown, PA 18955. A funeral service will begin at 10:00AM followed by a graveside service. 

Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church Richlandtown, 4 S. Main Street, Richlandtown, PA 18955 or the Richlandtown Volunteer Fire Company, 125 S. Main Street, Richlandtown, PA 18955.
