Arlene Price

Arlene Elizabeth Price, 87, of Quakertown Pa passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021, at the Lutheran Community at Telford. Born in Emmaus, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Ruth (Moser) Luckey. She was the loving wife of her high school sweetheart, the late William Price sharing 38 happy years of marriage.

After graduating from Quakertown Community High School in 1951, Arlene attended Allentown Hospital School of Nursing graduating as an RN in 1955. She later earned her BSN degree at East Stroudsburg University in 1973.

Arlene started her career as an RN at Allentown General Hospital and later worked at Tice Clinic in Quakertown before finding her true calling as a school nurse, working at Quakertown Community High School and eventually retiring in 1995.

Arlene was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Quakertown, serving on church council as well as the finance committee. She also served as a member of the Quakertown Hospital Auxiliary for many years as well as the Quakertown High School Alumni Association for 12 years.

In her free time Arlene enjoyed playing golf and was a member of The Foxy Ladies Golf League. She was an avid reader and loved watching football. Arlene's home away from home was Ocean City, NJ, she loved the beach and fresh salt air and went as often as possible. She said the beach cures everything.

Arlene loved life and lived it with a smile on her face. Her family was her most cherished blessing. She was a kind, funny, generous, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and will be deeply missed.

Arlene is survived by her daughter Jane Price, granddaughters Stephanie Coyle and her husband Robert Coyle, Kasey and Kristin Price and sister Betty Newhard.

She was predeceased by her son David Price, sister Dorothy Laudenslager, longtime companion Jack Smith.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Naugle Funeral and Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd, Quakertown PA 18951. Calling hour will be before the service at 10:00 AM. Masks will be mandatory inside for those who attend the service.
