It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Aliki (Repantis) Slattery, a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Born on October 9, 1932, Aliki graced this world with her presence for over nine decades, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Aliki, affectionately known as Yaya by her beloved grandchildren, was the epitome of family devotion. She was the proud and loving mother of Tom Slattery and his wife Renee, Steven Slattery, Alexi Steigerwald and her husband Mike, and Darrin Slattery and his wife Jennie. Her legacy extends to her five grandchildren: Tommy Slattery (Rachel), Brittany Kershaw (Bobby), Jonathan Steigerwald, Christopher Slattery, and Jimmy Steigerwald, as well as her two great-granddaughters, Harper and Maddison Kershaw.
Preceded in death by her dear husband, James Slattery, who passed in March 1982, Aliki continued to be the pillar of strength and love for her family, creating countless memories that will be treasured forever. She was also predeceased by her parents, Steven and Ruth Repantis.
Aliki's life was filled with joy and passion. She cherished her time at the beach, feeling the ocean breeze on her face while holding a book in her hand. Her hands were rarely still, always knitting or tending to her garden. She was an avid skier, sculler, tennis player, bingo enthusiast, and bowler, activities that brought her immense happiness. Yaya had a particular fondness for chocolate ice cream, a simple delight she cherished.
Above all, Aliki's greatest joy was supporting and nurturing the family she raised. Her love knew no bounds, and she made sure to instill strong values and a sense of unity within her family. Her presence was a source of comfort and strength, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to honor Aliki's life at a memorial service to be held at Naugle Funeral Home, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown, PA 18951. The viewing will be Saturday, June 8 from 9:00-10:00am, with the service at 10:00am. This will be followed by her interment at Union Cemetery, Quakertown. A luncheon will follow, providing an opportunity for all to share their memories and celebrate her remarkable life.
As we bid farewell to Aliki, we hold onto the love and memories she leaves behind. She lived a wonderful, long life surrounded by her family, and her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Rest in peace, Aliki. You will be forever missed and always remembered.
